Save yourself from a cursed land of rotten candy while fighting your inner sweet tooth. A 2D side-scrolling adventure that takes place in a witch's horrific realm of spirals and sweets.
You play as Bea, a sweet-thieving child making her way out a mysterious rotten world meant to be her prison.
Sweet Tooth was developed as a semester-long DigiPen Sophomore game project. Our team consisted of seven artists and one music and sound designer.

this is good! the character and visual design are easily a highlight, bea is very cute and i love that she fights with a toothbrush. the sparks from it dragging along the ground was a good detail. the jumps feel a little floaty, its easy to overshoot, and while the double jump looks like it has an upward aerial attack that doesn't really seem to be the case in the boss fight, which seems like a missed opportunity. there also seems to be some kind of issue with either enemy hitboxes or the visual cues on bea's attack animation, as she's able to hit basic enemies from a distance that seems like it should be far outside her range before they've even noticed her. still, barring those nitpicks for polish this is a pretty good project! a great proof of concept for what could easily be expanded into something bigger.
